In 2011, the annual Puji Temple Festival and Procession, an important event for Daxi residents, was registered as an important intangible cultural asset of Taoyuan City. During the festival, people of all ages and genders celebrate the birthday of Holy Emperor Lord Guan, making the festival almost like a second Lunar New Year celebration. In 2018, the Daxi Wood Art Ecomuseum started to hold events under the title Daxi Daxi, echoing the theme of the temple festival, which is centered on procession troupes. By incorporating artistic design and traditional faith, the ecomuseum has won acclaim for introducing innovation and bringing in more young people.
The 2019 event focused on teaching young people about religious processions, promoting local communities, and strengthening the brand value of the festival and its procession troupes. Together, the various events and performances represented a continuation and innovation of the 2019 Daxi Daxi.
