Visitors from around the world can now learn more about the National Taiwan Museum’s architectural features and century-long history through its guided tours in more than 20 languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Russian and Italian. The Museum has been working with universities to recruit student volunteers, some of whom now work as foreign-language docents. More than 70% of the foreign-language docents are international students who are trained to become ambassadors for the Museum to provide regular tours in foreign languages, making it possible for overseas visitors to learn about Taiwanese history and culture in their mother tongue.
