The National Museum of Taiwan History has continued to create an accessible environment that exceeds expectations: the audio description guided tour app enables the visually impaired to enjoy permanent exhibitions independently, and the inclusive learning project lowers barriers to information comprehension for the mentally disabled in order to encourage them to take the initiative to learn and increase their social participation. Taking the exhibition The Changing Image of the Deity in Heaven and on Earth for example, the Museum created an easy-to-read booklet, Religious Faiths and Deities in Taiwan, put on the procession event to allow visitors to express themselves with their bodies, and used 3D modeling and digital casting to give people a taste of making religious statues. The Museum’s series of events promoting cultural equity and learning resources enable visitors to enjoy their museum visit on their own terms: via touch, sound, body movement, and memory. The Museum is truly transforming itself into a museum for all.
