The sites of human rights abuses during the White Terror era in Taiwan are now referred to as “Historic Sites of Injustice”, including places where policies of state violence were formulated, the offices of the secret police, and places where political prisoners were arrested, interrogated, tried, and executed. These sites witnessed the abuse of individuals’ rights by state actors that led to a collective trauma. This exhibition featured artists from the fields of visual art, design, architecture, performance, and virtual reality who worked together and came up with visual identity designs for the various sites of injustice. These works invite visitors to engage in discussion and reflection on the sites and their associated issues.
