Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. ── Albert Einstein
Biomimicry refers to drawing inspiration from nature and its inhabitants, and using that insight to innovate solutions for human progress. Simply put, biomimicry is an approach to developing solutions by learning from nature. Biomimicry is a cross-disciplinary science that encompasses biology, material science, engineering, medicine, mechanics, and agriculture. It involves identifying, analyzing, and employing strategies found in nature and translating them into technological solutions. Rather than simply replicating Mother Nature’s designs as they are, biomimicry focuses on gaining a comprehensive understanding of nature’s solutions and subsequently mitigating or eliminating obstacles that human beings face through unique nature inspired creations.
